Strolling Around Giardini Naxos, Sicily

Last Updated on

Greetings,

Giardini Naxos is a small town in Sicily along the coast below Taormina. It’s also where you have to buy train tickets if you’re leaving Taormina. Visited the town today and decided to go for a stroll to get to know the place.

The place felt quaint but definitely not the attraction of the area, Taormini takes that position. The food in Sicily is exquisite, I enjoyed the seafood risotto while my mom grabbed the penne ala norma.

Another day in Taormina before taking the train back to Rome. People say that Asia is a hot spot for smoking? I’d say Italy is. Seems like everyone and their baby smokes, could have sworn I even saw an infant giving some old timer a light while watching an unborn baby exhale in her mother’s womb.

Tips hat,

    1. That sounds like the most hilarious comment I never thought of posting but will use in the future.

That said, it was quite tasty. Sicily is the bomb for pasta, Rome was “meh”.

  1. Are you going to Florence? If so, eat some pear pasta at Trattoria 4 Leoni for me.

Although I’d wait until the jersey shore kids leave… totally ruins the immersion. 😉

    1. Don’t think so. Leaving Italy on the 24th, I’ll return when I’m married or dating someone romantic. I need to stand by my rule that Italy is a waste of time for a single gent to travel alone.

Every lady I ever talk to wants to go to Italy and usually know all about it. As a result, putting time and cash into less “desirable” destinations as I’ll probably come back here at some point anyways.
